From the Quinto di Valpantena vineyard, this wine is garnet coloured, perfumed with aromas of rich fruit cake, dried cherries and plums. These lead to a modern, rounded palate, full-bodied but nicely balanced with concentrated plum pudding flavours. These are offset by an attractive smoky, vanilla spice from the oak ageing. Rich but still fresh on the finish.
