RRP: £13.99

Fragrant and complex on the nose with ripe fruit aromas enhanced by notes of prune and liquorice. Up-front and powerful on the palate with hints of spice and and cooked cherries and more than a hint of smoky dark chocolate, followed by a long appetizing finish.

70% Malbec 30% Corvina

The vinification technique used for the Passo Doble is a Masi speciality: double-fermentation. The Malbec grapes are soft-pressed, fermented on the skins for sixteeen days, then the Corvina grapes are introduced (after a brief appasimento treatment) and the fermentation continues for a further fifteen days.

The wine spent nine months in French oak barriques before being bottled.
