Masseria Pietrosa Salice Salentino, a rich, full red from Salento in the south-east of Italy - our biggest seller this year.

Notre Dame des Anges, AC Collioure - my absolute No 1 of 2011. Deep, complex red wine, fruit-forward but with a long finish, just a fantastic example of the winemaker's art from this tiny corner of south-east France.

Mas la Chevaliere 'Le Peyroli' Blanc - a delightful and original white wine from Beziers, 85% Chardonnay and 15% Viognier, gently oak-aged - a charming wine.

Pinot Grigio 'La Farra' - forget cheaply-made low-quality acidic PG, this is full of fruit and has just the right level of astringency. PG as it should be.

Chablis 'La Lotte' - the best sub-£10 Chablis we have tasted. Flint, fruit and crisp acidity, it has everything you want from a good Chablis.

Krohn 2004 Late-bottled vintage port - from one of the last Port estates to trample every grape by foot, this is ready to drink. Rich and with just the right balance of sweetness and acidity, the perfect partner to Stilton but rich and complex enough to satisfy on its own.
