Vintage ports are made from a single harvest. The wines are bottled 2 years after the harvest, and then spend many years maturing in the bottle. This 2003 vintage is still relatively young for a vintage port; it can already be enjoyed, for example with blue cheese, but will happily mature in the bottle for at least another five years.
