Monday to Saturday: 10am 'til 6pm
Thursdays: 10am 'til 7pm
Sundays: 12 30pm 'til 4pm (only in December)
We are closed on the 25th & 26th December and again on the 1st and 2nd January |

AITKEN'S WIN CAMPERDOWN DINNER TENDER |

We're very proud to say that our wines won a recent tender outright for the annual Camperdown Night dinner held on the HMS Unicorn on the 1st October and attended by HRH The Princess Royal no less!! 3 local wine merchants were given a dinner menu and asked to submit suitable wines for this prestigeous event . The following wines were selected by specialists in a blind tasting:
GRUET Champagne NV [Aitken's House Champagnes]
BRAES O' GOWRIE sparkling Elderflower [the non-alcoholic option]
POCO MAS Sauvignon Blanc 2006, Valle Central, Chile
RINCON PRIVADO Malbec 2004, Mendoza, Argentina
KROHN'S LBV 2001 Port
All of the above are of course READILY available from our warehouse.

At last the 2007 vintage of our award-winning Australian RUNAMOK Chardonnay has arrived. Voted this year in April as the best value new world white by the Independent Retail News, the 2006 vintage literally flew off the shelves. The new vintage does not disappoint on quality and at our fantastic Aitken's case deal price of £27 for 6 bottles, you really can't grumble !!! |

GREAT PINOT GRIGIO FROM HUNGARY? |

Although we do stock a variety of outstanding Italian Pinot Grigios in the warehouse, we think our MATRA HILL Pinot Grigio from the 'New Europe' cannot be beaten on quality or price. We have in fact been reliably informed that Hungary is the biggest grower of Pinot Grigio in the world....not alot of people know that!!
This recently discovered gem comes in at the incredible 6 x 75cl case deal price of only £24!!!
Other wines to look out for in this quality range are a stunning Cabernet Sauvignon Rose, an unusual (in a good way) and almost floral Cabernet Kekfrankos red and one of Hungary's older indigeonus varietals, the fragrant Irsai Oliver white. A range to please all tastebuds and for the more inquisitive who want to try something a little different. |

AITKEN'S GOES ORGANIC |

We admit that not all organic wines make the mark but in our new range CLEARLY ORGANIC, we think we found some wines that do. Within the range, there is a clean dry Airen Blanco and a smooth spicy Tempranillo both of which are easy drinking, reasonably priced wines at £26 for our 6 x 75cl case deal.
We also have a slightly more serious heavyweight red from CLEARLY ORGANIC which is a Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon blend coming in a £32 on our 6 x 75cl case deal.

FAIR TRADE WINES JUST IN |

We now have two new lines in Fair Trade wines, namely LOS ROBLES from Chile and THANDI from South Africa. As well as being great wines by their own merit, the Fair Trade organisation assures that assistance is given to disadvantaged communities to earn a sustainable livelihood through export trade.
LOS ROBLES comes from the recently voted best winery in Chile and comes in two of Chile's signature grape varietals, the white in Sauvignon Blanc and the red in Carmenere.
Our 6 x 75cl case deal for these is £29.
THANDI from South Africa offers two Western Cape wines with the white a quality easy-drinking Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and the red a robust well-balanced Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon.
